Well known applications unknown?
Found this at another site and it's also my experience with BluePoint Security:
Comments about this?Although it says it's also a cloud antivirus, it 'analysed' firefox.exe first, then declared it 'an unknown file'... Very funny...

Not sure. From what I have heard, they are a fairly new company. Therefore, their white-list probably started out smaller than average.
I haven't tested BluePoint Security 2010 much at all really. I remember first testing it when they were just getting started - saw them posting on Wilders. It sounded and looked like a reasonable product, and a little innovative.
There are some fairly good video reviews out there, including a couple done by languy99:

Anyway, if you want to test it out (for up to a year haha), pop into that License Giveaway thread.

It certainly is difficult building a whitelist, it's almost impossible to know about everything that's out there and every version. We've made improvements in the past month or so that should help out. With that being said, we believe that approach to prevention is the only way we are going to start winning the malware war.
