Should I keep Asquared free?
I hardly ever use it, it also doesnt seem to work within sandboxie without me punching holes in the sandbox. --which i would never do. I also dont do system scans with it and am discouraged by its terrible false positives. It has become a waste of diskspace but the reviews Ive read about its good detectionrates make me reluctant in uninstalling it.
so what is your opinion about it? have you used/ are you using it currently?

I occasionally do an on-demand scan with their Commandline Scanner:

Runs fine sandboxed too, as it just means you're running "cmd.exe" sandboxed.
However, you'll need to know the basics of DOS to run it. I personally have no trouble running it, but I'm not sure how to activate its heuristics etc through the command prompt - it just doesn't seem to work (possibly because I run it sandboxed haha).

Rico:
For a long time I used A-Squared free, the things I liked about it,were high detection, and for me the fact it was very simple to allow it to update while in ShadowMode, with a single exclusion.
What I did not like were sloooooow updates, slooow scan speeds, and some really nasty false positives,on Windows System files, that could be tragic to a new user.
Another plus,is their forum, mainly staffed by a Aussie guy Lynx, that is quiet helpful,if a bit quirky.
If you can spare the disk space, and update time, there is no harm in leaving it.
Maybe you would even like:

Kind of like the old DrWeb Cureit.
