Malware Defender as a Firewall
Has anyone tried using Malware Defender solely as a Firewall specifically to control outbound connections? From my brief testing, it seems to be rather excellent. I'm surprised no one has suggested this before.
As far as I understand, the built-in Windows Firewall is sufficient for inbound control/filtering - in fact, some experts have suggested it is better at doing this than most/all 3rd party firewalls. Furthermore, most home users are behind a NAT Router, further consolidating their inbound protection. I can't see any need for changing this built-in inbound protection.
As far as I can tell, there are no Firewalls out there that solely control outbound only. Malware Defender seems to come close.
