File Exclusions in Shadow Defender
Hi all,
I've recently been trying Returnil 2011 Lite which I'm enjoying, except for the fact that it cannot exclude registry keys.
Can Shadow Defender exclude files, folders and registry keys?

Hi Stephen2, welcome to the forums!
As far as I know, Shadow Defender can only exclude files and folders. patrick or noorismail will confirm this though.

Re: File Exclusions in Shadow Defender
Disappointing... There doesn't seem to be a product of this category that can:
1) Protect against all (most) of the current malwares
2) Continue in this "virtualized" mode permanently, while allowing permanent exclusion of files/folders AND registry keys
Returnil Lite 2011 is close, but doesn't do registry keys - so my SuRun settings (which store in the HKLM\SECURITY hive) can't be saved across reboot - without entering a "save changes" mode, which is a terrible solution.

Stephen, there is a way to exclude registry keys as per this thread initiated on the sd forum by eskro; http://www.shadowdefender.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=154
needs a little work but is rewarding in the end.
